Units

Synergia2.1 uses CHEF’s units internally, and when appropriate, the MAD units. They are:

Kinematics

(Below, \(p_{ref}^{total}\) is the total momentum of the reference particle, in GeV/c)

In the fixed-z representation:

x : [meters]

xp : \(\frac{p_x}{p_{ref}^{total}}\) [unitless]

y : [meters]

yp : \(\frac{p_y}{p_{ref}^{total}}\) [unitless]

cdt : \(c\Delta t\) [meters]

pp : \(\frac{\Delta p^{total}}{p_{ref}^{total}}\) [unitless]

In the fixed-t representation:

x : [meters]
